Where Your Money Goes

Current Renovation Needs

The Vihara is currently addressing the following urgent repairs. Contractors are being interviewed and bids gathered. Work will begin as soon as funding is secured.

💧 Basement water leaks — Two active leaks require emergency waterproofing repair.
❄️ HVAC system — The heating and cooling system has failed and needs full replacement.
🏗️ Foundation assessment — Potential foundation issues are under evaluation and may require structural work.
🌊 French drain — The drainage system around the building may need to be rebuilt to prevent future water damage.
🧺 Washer & dryer — Both appliances are broken and need to be replaced.

Donations of Goods

Community Wishlist

Beyond financial contributions, we gratefully accept donations of everyday items to support the monks and the Vihara community. Our wishlist is always growing — check back as we update it with new needs.

🍚 Rice — A staple for the monks; donations of any size are welcome.
🥫 Non-perishable food items — Canned goods, lentils, dry goods, cooking oils.
🧴 Personal hygiene items — Soap, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes, and similar products.
🧹 Household help — Volunteers to help vacuum, clean, or assist with light chores at the Vihara.
